About April

April Murphy (b.1999, Oklahoma) is a visual artist primarily working with oil paint. She currently lives and works in Cleveland, Ohio with her partner and two cats.

Throughout childhood, April enjoyed sketching and painting in her spare time. To pass the time during Covid-19 lockdowns, April taught herself how to oil paint and instantly fell in love. After graduating from Kenyon College in 2022, April moved to Cleveland and established a consistent art practice in her home studio.

April particularly enjoys creating landscapes, capturing the light in striking ways. She loves working closely with clients to create meaningful and detailed commissions.
